Integrative Spiritual Counselling Course

The aim of the ISC Course is to promote self understanding and growth in a holistic context, with special reference to spiritual and psychological integration. The course lasts forty six weeks , beginning and ending with summer terms. It is open to all nationalities but a good understanding of spoken English is essential. The Course is particularly suited for prospective trainee counsellors who are creative and wish to develop their own integrative model since it offers a sound integrative basis on which to build.

The ISC Course is based on Clarkson's Integrative Model of the Five Relationships, with emphasis on Egan's Three Stage Model, plus Relatedness to Self and Kofler’s Personality Model of the Four Selves of the Human Being. An individual plan of study is prepared at the beginning of the course. Trainees may work towards a Certificate in Integrative Spiritual Counselling or a Diploma in Integrative Spiritual Counselling. The level of certification is determined by a combination of previous experience, reading, requirements fulfilled during the course and on professional and personal development. The British Association of Counselling Code of Ethics is followed.
