DIPLOMA IN INTEGRATIVE PSYCHOSPIRITUAL GROWTH FACILITATION OF GROUPS (2nd Year)
A 14-month full-time residential apprenticeship programme.
The second of three diploma courses focusing on various aspects of Christian leadership for pastoral and community leaders and formators, using an integrative, psychospiritual, relational paradigm.
The second and third year courses are small groups as they are run on an apprenticeship-based system where trainees work alongside senior members of staff as co-facilitators.
The second year course is designed to prepare competent leaders and formators who can foster growth and wholeness in those entrusted to their care, especially in a group context.
We need leaders who are fully aware of the psychological and spiritual needs of the people of our time, who have a good understanding of human relationships, community living, multicultural interactions and deep values and beliefs, to assist them in dealing with present-day problems.
The course includes all-important EQ bodywork – since we are embodied beings. Importance is given to the focus on the personal and spiritual development of the trainee leader/growth facilitator him/herself. The aim of the course is to provide in-depth transformational leadership development, developing leaders ‘from the inside out’.
There is a selection procedure for this course. Suitable candidates from the first-year course are offered a scholarship for this further training.
DIPLOMA IN TRANSFORMATIONAL PASATORAL AND COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP & INDIVIDUAL GROWTH FACILITATION (3rd Year)
A 14-month full-time apprenticeship programme.
The second and third year courses are small groups as they are run on an apprenticeship-based system where trainees work alongside senior members of staff.
This course is a Biblically-based, spirituality-centred apprenticeship training in leadership. It is the third of three diploma courses designed to prepare competent leaders and formators who can foster growth and wholeness in those entrusted to their care.
Christian transformational leadership is a dynamic relational process in which people, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, work in partnership to achieve a common goal. It is serving others by leading and leading others by serving.
Our vision is a people transformed and empowered by Christian principles who will provide life-giving leadership for groups and communities. The Institute provides participants with leadership development based on the leadership model of Christ. It is a place for trainees to link in a process of theological, spiritual and psychological reflection and prayer, together with experiential group and individual growth facilitation practice that clarifies transformational leadership across cultures.
The Church needs leaders who cherish and communicate vision, are skilled in motivating others, and offer integrity in character and leadership. The course includes all-important EQ bodywork – since we are embodied beings. Importance is given to the focus on the personal and spiritual development of the trainee leader/growth facilitator him/herself. The aim of the course is to provide in-depth transformational development, developing leaders ‘from the inside out’.
There is a selection procedure for this course. Suitable candidates from the second-year course are offered a further scholarship for this training.
