Supervision Course

This training course in counselling supervision, while covering the field thoroughly, gives special reference to counselling in the pastoral setting, if required. The Course is based on the Integrative Relational Model of Counselling as developed by the Institute of Saint Anselm.  The Institute of Saint Anselm uses an Integrative Psycho Spiritual Model of Personality (Unconscious, Conscious, Spiritual and Physical) developed by Leonard Kofler.

 

  • 10 Saturday Modules, 9.30 am to 4.00 pm.
  • Attendance at all modules is required for Certification. 
  • Participants are expected to meet between modules to practise supervision. 

2005 - 8th October, 12th November, 10th December.

2006 - 9th January, 4th February, 4th March, 1st April, 6th May, 3rd June, and 8th July.

Planned Curriculum

Where possible, consideration will be given to the special needs of the participants by the inclusion of other topics. Pastoral Supervision will be specially covered for as required.

Relationships & Boundaries - Working Alliance 10th December 2005

Module 4:
An Integrative Model of Supervision - 9th January 2006

Module 5:
Skills and Creative Methods - Arts in Supervision - 4th February 2006

Module 6:
Ethics - Beliefs - Values - In Supervision- 4th March 2006

Module 7:
Forms of Supervision - Individual - Group - Peer etc.  1st April 2006

Module 8:
Organisational Supervision - 6th May 2006

Module 9:
The Wider Context - Use and Abuse of Power - 3rd June 2006

Module 10:
Special Issues in Supervision - 8th July 2006

To be accepted into the Supervision Course, you must have five years of counselling experience or its equivalent. You should arrange to have supervisees, prior to commencement of the Course.

Course Fees:
Cost of the Course is £700. This includes a non-returnable registration fee of £50 made payable to the Institute of St Anselm.

To register, fill out and send the Registration Form plus a £50 deposit to secure a place. Include a summary of your qualifications in counselling and the context of your work, together with the name of a referee who can vouch for your suitability as a candidate for Counselling Supervision. Form and fees are required by the 2nd August 2005.

Acceptance is by interview. You will be contacted by the office of the Institute to arrange a date.
